Do I need an internet connection?
No - everything runs locally after you download the app.
What Macs does it work on?
Apple Silicon Macs (M1 and later) running macOS 11 or newer.
Is my footage uploaded anywhere?
No. Frame Finder never sends your files anywhere - all processing happens locally on your own Mac.
How long does it take to process clips?
It depends on the number and clips and file sizes. The faster your Mac, the faster it will run.
I love it! How do I get a license?
Click the Buy licence in the drop down menu - you'll get a license key to unlock the app.

Privacy Policy — Frame Finder

Frame Finder is built to process your footage entirely on your own Mac. This policy explains exactly what data, if any, is collected.
Your video files and footage
Frame Finder never uploads, transmits, or shares your video files, thumbnails, or generated PDF reports. All scanning, metadata reading, thumbnail generation, and PDF creation happen locally on your Mac. Nothing about your footage ever leaves your device.
App Store version
The App Store version of Frame Finder makes no network connections of its own. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit — Frame Finder never sees or stores your payment information, and Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.

When you activate a license key, the app sends your email address, license key, and a device identifier (a hardware UUID, not tied to any personal account) to our license server, solely to verify the license and enforce the two-device limit. This information is used only for that purpose — it is not shared with third parties, sold, or used for tracking or analytics.
